Lt. Christopher Paul Hasson of the United States Coast Guard, is currently being held without bail in Maryland. The drug and weapons charges on which he is being held, by the Judge’s own admission, do not warrant him being so detained. Unfortunately for Lieutenant Hasson, and the eighth amendment, prosecutors stitched together a parallel narrative which had almost nothing to do with the charges pressed.
According to them, Mr. Hasson is a neo-Nazi who has spent years plotting to commit acts of terrorism. In a draft letter which Hasson never sent, prosecutors claimed he wrote that he was “dreaming of a way to kill almost every last person on the earth.” They also say he searched Google for terms like “best place in dc to see congress people” and “are supreme court justices protected.” Additionally, they claim Hasson developed a spreadsheet of targets that included top Democratic congressional leaders and media personalities. The list includes “JOEY,” what prosecutors say is a reference to former congressman Joe Scarborough (R-Fla.), now of MSNBC; “cortez,” an alleged reference to freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.); and “Sen blumen jew,” presumably about Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.). Federal prosecutor Jennifer Sykes said Hasson would log onto his government computer during work and spend hours searching for information on such people as the Unabomber, the Virginia Tech gunman and anti-abortion bomber Eric Rudolph.
Hasson’s public defender Julie Stelzig, rightly pointed out that aside from the drug and weapons charges, none of these supposed Google searches, draft letters, or spreadsheets actually amounted to anything criminal. They do not even show criminal intent. She also questioned whether the government is trying to make an example out of Hasson, given criticism that authorities have overlooked domestic terrorists. “Perhaps now they can say, ‘Look, we’re not targeting only Muslims,'” she said. Stelzig also said the prosecution’s detention memo offered up a “histrionic characterization of Mr. Hasson” and was intended to garner media attention.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Day agreed that, by themselves, the two charges filed against Hasson do not warrant detention, but agreed to keep Hasson behind bars for 14 days while prosecutors contemplate other charges. After that, with no further criminal charges, the judge suggested Hasson could be released.
Hasson was arrested on February 15th. One wonders, if these charges are “the tip of the iceburg” as prosecutors allege, why did they choose that day to arrest him on these minor ones? Why did they not wait until they had enough evidence to bring more serious charges? Why did they not prepare the more serious charges before his arrest on that date? There is no allegation that a specific attack was planned, or that there was imminent risk to the public. Only that Hasson has unfashionable political views, and contraband.
Perhaps Ms. Stelzig had a point about the intent to garner media attention. Note that the top story when news of Hasson’s arrest broke, was Jussie Smollett’s hate crime hoax. Looking at a timeline of how that narrative collapse unfolded, the arrest could not have come at a better time for those interested in pushing Jewish race hoaxes.
Smollett’s hoax was nonsense from the outset, obviously. No serious person goes to Chicago and says “THIS IS MAGA COUNTRY NIGGER FAGGOT!” But most people in the media were either desperate to believe the lie, or too scared of the Jews to call it what it obviously was.
Sometime between the initial report and February 12th, police requested Smollett turn over his phone to investigators, and he refused. Eventually he turned over heavily redacted phone records, which police announced on February 12th “do not meet the burden for a criminal investigation.”
On February 14th, Smollett appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” for his first television interview since the incident. Anyone trained to spot deception knew that he was lying, and his story now differed from his original account to investigators. That same day, ABC7 reported that detectives were talking to two persons of interest in connection with the alleged attack, and investigating whether Smollett and the two men staged the attack because Smollett was being written off of “Empire.”
On February 15th, those two men were released without charges, and that same day, Chris Hasson was arrested.
On February 20th, Smollett was criminally charged. Later that very afternoon, Seamus Hughes broke the story of Hasson’s arrest. Hughes is a former Senate counterterrorism advisor who now works with the George Washington University Program on Extremism, which provides “analysis and policy solutions on radicalization, terrorism and extremism.” He has revealed details on several cases supposedly involving American extremism and terrorism, often finding the information in federal court documents before the media.
Interestingly, the George Washington University Program on Extremism’s website contains not a single reference to Antifa, the Left wing terrorist group which has been terrorizing the country for years. Their Twitter account has only mentioned the terrorist group twice. Once to share a Politico article about the FBI predicting more Antifa terrorism in September of 2017, just after Unite the Right. The other to share a blog post from the Daily Beast about the Proud Boys fight with Antifa in NYC last October. To say it strains the credibility of an organization that supposedly studies extremism, not to mention the number one source of political violence in the United States, is the understatement of the century. This is obviously another SPLC-esque Left wing think tank designed to malign Right wingers as terrorists.
On February 21st, Hasson and Smollett were both arraigned. Smollett was back on the set of Empire later that afternoon, while Hasson sits in federal custody.
Perhaps it’s just a coincidence, but it’s a really convenient one if it is.
Democrat Presidential hopeful Kamala Harris released a statement saying “Like most of you, I’ve seen the reports about Jussie Smollett, and I’m sad, frustrated, and disappointed”. She continued “At the same time, we must speak the truth: hate crimes are on the rise in America… Just last year, the FBI released statistics that revealed a 17 percent increase in the number of hate crimes in America. Part of the tragedy of this situation is that it distracts from that truth, and has been seized by some who would like to dismiss and downplay the very real problems we must address.”
The sentiment is familiar, of course. All across the media, lying sacks of shit are telling us that the big problem with Smollett’s hoax is that it distracts from a very serious problem of White supremacist violence and terrorism. Few dare utter the truth, that hate crime hoaxes are far more common than actual hate crimes. Even fewer dare mention the bottom line, which is that hoaxes are the whole entire point of the “hate crime” designation.
But, luckily for the con artists who pedal this Jewish garbage, they’ve got a new scam to direct the public’s attention toward. Chris Hasson, a loving husband, and father, a committed public servant with 28 years of service to the U.S. Coast Guard, five years to the U.S. Marine Corps, and two years to the Army National Guard, now sits in the custody of the very government he dedicated his life to serving.
So if you own firearms and you’ve ever done a Google search, watch out folks. The next time some Jewish faggot gets caught in a lie, you might be the one held without bail in a desperate effort to rescue the media.
