One of the biggest problems plaguing libertarian philosophy is the issue of abortion. There are several divides on the issue, including the classic “is it a person?” question, but most people with a modicum of intellectual integrity abandon this at some early point in the pregnancy. One solution to this for libertarian abortion advocates is to say that the parents incur no positive obligation to the child by creating it. Murray Rothbard talked about this in Ethics of Liberty, and Walter

Walter Block Responds to Critics

Walter Block Responds to Critics
Among the list of upstanding libertarian thought leaders under attack by the depraved lunatics at Center for a Stateless Society and Students for Liberty, was Walter Block, author of Defending The Undefendable, and other books. Antonio Buehler Cosigns Reisenwitz Attack on Paul, Rockwell

Peaceful Streets Project founder, Antonio Buehler, has wholeheartedly endorsed the racial hysteria recently provoked by Cathy Reisenwitz. Reisenwitz tweeted that American libertarians were “super racist” and specifically targeted her attacks on such movement leaders as Murray Rothbard, Ron Paul, and Lew Rockwell, and others. Reisenwitz has since apologized for the baseless allegations, but Buehler seems to think the slander is still a thing worthy of pursuit. Nevermind the fact that Reisenwitz said all these people have had “racist comments attributed

On Evictionism, and Abortion

In the history of libertarian theory, a number of absolutely abhorrent ideas have been proposed as “the” libertarian ideal on parental rights and responsibility. Everything from partial birth abortion, to “evictionism”, to assault, to letting children starve to death, and beyond. It is absolutely sickening for me, one who is not easily offended, much less made queasy, some of the things libertarians have attempted to justify in this particular field of libertarian thinking. I can only imagine how it comes
